As many of you might have noticed, we’re seeing great progress on replacement packages making it through respective queues; at this point, many of you who’ve commented on past updates in regards to lost packages, broken components, or missing pieces have received tracking or even received those final goodies! Comments and new tickets have quieted down to much of a trickle, and it’s a trickle we’re happy to see; it means more and more of you are reaching the resolution you deserve!
If you want to check in on the status of your replacement or need to request a place in our replacement queue, you can message us here on Kickstarter or email us at [email protected]. We’ll also be at Gen Con next month, so if you’re going there and would need something fixed with your situation, we can always remedy it in person there as well, so don’t hesitate to ask!
Some clarification on replacement decks!

Good evening, everyone!
Our fulfillment partners are currently receiving the waves of replacement parts we sent their way, as they’d run out of a few items from the first wave of replacements (especially the base game decks!) Domestic and Canadian replacements have been kicking out of our own warehouse, with packages going out weekly to work on getting missing or damaged items into everyone’s hands. On that note, we do want to provide a bit of clarity on what people can expect on replacements, along with what replacements we’ll be able to offer when you reach out to us.
The very first wave of Fantastic Factories product sent out to our American pledges included extra replacement decks for the expansion packs; however, future printed waves of the product (literally anything beyond those first few hundred units) had the proper replacement decks packed directly into the game. Some of our international backers have expressed confusion upon not receiving those expansion replacement decks, so I wanted to explain that your copies have been modified to already include that new coloration, which is why you didn’t receive replacement decks as well: they’d be exactly the same thing inside of the box!
We understand that even with this fix made, some people’s copies do not match 100% in color, and we’re very sorry for that, but we don’t have any other colorations to offer; those are the same exact decks that were sent to domestic backers, and we only printed enough of them to send to those first few hundred backers before properly swapping out the internal decks for all other copies! We hope this helps clarify expectations, both for those receiving new packages or replacements for missing items!

Good evening, everyone!
Our warehouse is still chugging along sending out replacements while the rest of our staff spreads the good word of board games and comics, and we’re also restocking all of our fulfillment centers with more product for replacements, so the train is still a’rollin’!
For those of you based in the North American Midwest, we hope we get to see you at either of the conventions we’re tabling at this weekend: Motor City Comic Con and St Louis Fan Expo! Come swing by and say hi if you can!
An April Wrap-Up

We wanted to check in with you all to let you know that due to the Covid outbreak in Shanghai, turnaround time on Rest of World replacements has slowed, but the city’s cases do seem to be making progress over the last few days especially, and both we and our partners have our fingers crossed that the city is genuinely on an upswing in recovery and the slowing of cases. This situation isn’t one where we can guarantee a date the fulfillment center will re-open, but everything seems to be heading in the right direction!
Putting dents in the backlog

While we’ve made sure to get caught up on direct Kickstarter messages and comments, we’re still working through the backlog of emails, and we apologize to everyone who still hasn’t heard back. We promise we’ll answer every email, and we’re very excited to say that we now have direct avenues set up with every one of our fulfillment centers to process replacements, so the turnaround time on those replacements should be faster than before as well.
Once more, we thank everyone for their patience; everyone who backed this project did so because they cared about Fantastic Factories enough to support this beautiful engine builder, and getting these issues fixed so you can enjoy the game in full is important to us.
